I am here for the same reason. I'm Rick London, just a regular guy building a business from my home. I started my first internet business in 2004. My wife and I sold merchandise from our home to raise money for a family vacation. We primarily used drop shipping for delivery and customers lined up to buy our wares in our niche market. The business was a blinding success and we raised the money for our trip and then some. In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina wiped out over a third of our business, customers could not pay us and merchandise was lost forever. No, we weren't in the Gulf; but, a lot of our customers were.

I struggled to manage the debt and I finally closed the business in February 2006. I was devestated; but, at the end of the ordeal I had learned a few lessons. You see, with all the money coming in I over extended and with advertsing costs, merchandise costs and one third fewer customers paying their bills, I got in over my head. So why is my sob story important to you?

I licked my wounds for a while and decided the internet wasn't going to kick my butt and I got back on the horse that threw me. After some research I found Affiliate Marketing. The first program I bought was a Pay Per Click (PPC) get rich quick program. The owner of the program got rich and I didn't. When it was all said and done I had (have) more useless software and e-books on my computer than the library of congress. I was trying and trying these programs that everyone said were so wonderful; but, I was losing money faster than I could spend it and getting nowhere. Everything was a scam!

Using a lot of the methods I was learning from these "Get Rich Quick" schemes, I began to apply what I was learning in different markets; all of a sudden, I began making money, pennies at first, then dollars and then more dollars. Now, wait a minute; I'm not gonna tell you just do what I did and you'll get rich. I'm back to making a living again on the internet and my profits are continuing to grow, but I'm not a guru and I'm not making you any promises. What I am going to reveal to you are the biggest kept secrets of internet marketing, right here on the front page of my website. Want to know what they are?

1. Secret - The big secret is, there is no secret. There is no magic formula that works every time, there is no technique that you can use that will make millions of dollars over night. Sorry, that's it! That's the big secret. You will read over and over again just use "my" secret to make millions, nope, isn't gonna happen. If you are serious about building a home based business, you will need to learn how each tool in an affiliate marketers arsenal is used. You will need to build your successes a little bit at a time. Learn something new, try it, tweak it and make it your own. This site was born to help you find those little nuggets that will lead you toward your goal. I don't have the magic pill; but, you do! 2. Secret - The second biggest well kept secret on the internet - Stay out of the Work at Home market. Every one wants to make more money and the "professional" marketers know that and they convince many others as well. There are a million other fields to go into. Every program or idea you buy, that is designed to educate you, is directly geared at teaching you how to sell what you just bought. That is great for the person selling the program but not for you. If you fail, all of your efforts went to building the name of the program you bought. And remember, if a program is successful, there are thousands of other people just like you trying to sell the same thing.

3. Secret - Real affiliate marketers will not tell you where they are making the real money. Why would they? If you set up a marketing program in a niche market that made $10, $50, $100 or a $1000 per day would you share your secret source? I didn't think so; neither do the big boys. What they will do though is get you to spend money on their book and tell you HOW they are doing it! You just need to figure out the WHERE!

Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why must you make affiliate marketing work? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.
